I use ctrl+ the number pad to change the point size of fonts. I just got thinking, it would be nice to use the same commands for making the current selection larger or smaller too. Maybe 2 and 8 would be down and up by 1 percent of current size and 4-6 could be 1% of original size. 5 would be 'return to 100% of original size.
And then I thought, if I post it to the forum, one of the other geniuses here would tell me that a command already exists and then I'd know what it is.
So now I wait...
Mike,
You can try to modify Font Size List and then use
Ctrl+NUMPAD6
Increase font size to next setting in Font Size List
Ctrl+NUMPAD4
Decrease font size to previous setting available in the Font Size List

You mis-understand. I already use those, I'm talking about non-text objects.
Sir, Shortcut for non-text objects, First select the object, press Ctrl + Enter key. After it the cursor will start blinking at the object position. Now you can use Tab key to go to object size. I hope that it will also work for you & you'll like that. Thanks, Jitendra Sharma
