Hi.
The forum here is great. I would like to see more demo videos posted by the contributors. I remember when Corel gave top contributors a CorelDraw X5 book. I thought this was amazing and I love my book. It was a great idea and it left me feeling very gratuitous towards Corel.
Another good idea and it would help the forum greatly is to give all top contributors a video creation software such as FlashDemoStudio or UVScreenCamera. I think this would enable many of the contributors to more easily express themselves in forum answers and tutorials.
I kinda feel weird mentioning the idea for someone to give a gift to someone else but what the hell. It would be nice to see the videos more on the forum. Some people really contribute a lot to this forum to help others. Thanks to all who contribute so much.
~John
Nothing is weird John,
If Corel would ever do this or not, and in any case COREL do have a great software with great screen capture www.corel.com/videostudio Corel VideoStudio PRO & Ultimate. I have the Ultimate version.

HI.
Was thinking more of a basic screen recorder that could make small file sized flash or even gif videos with or without sound.
Does this one screen record? If so I guess you would have to upload to YouTube, which is an extra step. A quick video in a forum post or reply is nice.
Cool I'm gonna try it Stefan!
And Corel I hope you don't misunderstand me. I don't mean just give away a product because I wasn't trying to snag freebies. Just thinking for those who contribute so much here, and possibly cannot afford a screen recording software, this would enable all of the top contributors that help here on the forum to give video responses in the answers and forum posts.
...In the case that you ever decide to give away a another gift to the top contributors that is, this type of software would directly benefit the forums purpose.

HI Giulio.
Sometimes when someone answers a question on the forum you can make a video to better demonstrate your answer. A screen recording program can record your actions in CorelDraw (or whatever program) and then you can reply to the question on the forum with a video to better demonstrate the answer.
Yes John that is a GOOD IDEA after all we all should progress forward at all time the newer generation learning even faster than we did.

Sometimes, though, I think videos are overused. You have to watch them a number of times to figure out what's going on, when giving the steps would be clearer and faster.
I guess what I'm saying is, all videos are not created equal. Not everyone is an Alex Galvez. (Love his stuff)
I do mine with a free program called Free Screen to Video and then edit the clips in Windows Movie Maker. I agree they are more educational and interesting when they are simple and short.
Just to follow up, and with a question.
I'm holding off on installing the trial CorelVideoStudio. The first reason is that it's huge, the program is over a gig in size. I didn't want to start installing such huge programs on my fresh PC so I'm checking options first.I basically need a screen recording software for my new Windows 8 PC in order to make tutorial videos. However if I can kill 2 birds with one stone it will be fully worth it. I usually buy Nero Vison for DVD burning. Does Corel Video Studio have the ability to burn DVD movies that you create with it?
If so I can kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak and don't need to buy Nero Vision. If not I'll probably get Nero Vision and either another copy of Flash Demo Studio or try the UVScreenCamera for my new Windows 8 PC.
Anyone know?
