Creating best quality image for online use - Jpeg

Hi Guys

What will be the best method for creating the best quality Jpeg image for use online - the website states the size of 3000x850 will be accepted.

So in Corel I create my image of 3000x850 pixels then resample/change the resolution to 72Dpi and then export this for the Web as a high quality jpeg in RGB color mode

Is this the correct method for good quality online images?

Thanks

  • Hi,

Just be sure that the pixel dimension values are what you want, after changing the dpi setting. Also, there are several controls available for compression. I like the 4:4:4 sub format.

If the final image looks good to you in an image viewing program like irfanview or acdsee etc. then all should be well.

3,000 x 850 seems very large for web viewing, but maybe there is some other purpose for the uploaded jpegs.
