I use a macro to save my documents to earlier version. But I don't how to make a macro that saves the text as editable because it always convert the text to curves each time I save to the earlier version.
His Grace
could you show your code?
Private Sub frmEnter_Click()
Dim Response2 As VbMsgBoxResult Dim opt As New StructSaveAsOptions Dim filen As String Dim pre As String Dim filenComplete As String Dim myPath As String myPath = folder_TextBox.Value If myPath = "" Then myPath = "C:\" End If pre = frmPrefix filen = nameprefix_TextBox.Value filenComplete = pre & filen
If Dir(myPath & "\" & filenComplete & ".cdr") <> "" Then 'Test to see if the file exists Response2 = MsgBox("Overwrite Existing File?", vbYesNo, "SaveAs") If Response2 = vbNo Then Exit Sub End If opt.Filter = cdrCDR opt.Overwrite = True If exportSelected.Value = True Then opt.Range = cdrSelection Else opt.Range = cdrAllPages End If If changeVer.Value = 7 Then opt.Version = cdrVersion7 End If If changeVer.Value = 8 Then opt.Version = cdrVersion8 End If If changeVer.Value = 9 Then opt.Version = cdrVersion9 End If If changeVer.Value = 10 Then opt.Version = cdrVersion10 End If If changeVer.Value = 10.5 Then opt.Version = cdrVersion105 End If If changeVer.Value = 11 Then opt.Version = cdrVersion11 End If If changeVer.Value = 12 Then opt.Version = cdrVersion12 End If If changeVer.Value = 13 Then opt.Version = cdrVersion13 End If If changeVer.Value = 14 Then opt.Version = cdrVersion14 End If If changeVer.Value = "" Then opt.Version = cdrVersion12 End If SaveSetting "Yinka", "Preferences", "version", changeVer.Value SaveSetting "Yinka", "Preferences", "path", folder_TextBox.Value ActiveDocument.SaveAs myPath & "\" & filenComplete & ".cdr", optEnd Sub
structure/class StructSaveAsOptions have additinal parameters: .EmbedVBAProject, .IncludeCMXData, .EmbedICCProfile, .KeepAppearance. When filling the values it is desirable to use these parameters too
i included it but this line ".KeepAppearance" brings this error "Object does not support this property or method"
.KeepAppearance is appeared in the version from the X7
I see, but I am using X6, what shall i do?
Never mind, I eventually got the code. I added this line
ActiveDocument.TextFormatter = 1500
Many thanks for your concern and support
