I was chatting with one of Corel's employs the other day and asked if we would ever have a font creator for Corel Again, And I was told that there wasn't much interest in designing fonts.....What do you think??? Would it help Corel sell the next ver???
George
Hello Mike; If enough people are interested in the fonts it may be included In CorelDRAW. I Think it would be a big grabber for Corel, While you are setting around you could make ME some fonts that would be different from what you would buy, and they would be FREE if you made them your self....... George
It would be something akin to the web site creator. Another title the vast majority of people wouldn't use and likely be half-baked just like the web site creator. Why in the world would you want that? Wanna make fonts? Download and install one of the free creators and make fonts. Be ready for a learning curve. Or just make fonts in CD. Including one in the CD suite wouldn't enhance the suite one bit. Mike
Hi George,
one fun thing to do is try this font creator page that I found. Here's a video tutorial:
Here's the template - ready to go.
I've used this, myscriptfont.com for years and love it. I didn't think having no font creator in Corel draw was important until I needed it! I'm making a cookbook for a family who recently lost their mother and they asked if I could recreate their Mom's handwriting. Well, yes of course!......not.
Just found this tutorial and have NO IDEA why it never occoured to me to put this into Corel Draw before. Thanks Jeff!
Glad you liked this idea. :-) Cheers
