Bitmaps

Can someone explain why when in CorelDraw after drawing an object and converting to a Bitmaps the Edit Bitmap is not available.

  • Hello Giulio; Here once converted to a bit map CorelDRAW will let me edit it in PP. In Windoes 7 Utl. with X7. TRY rebooting the computer and see if that works, If not I'm sure you know how to do the F8 thing.

    • I am trying to follow Silvio Gomez tutorial that's when I found the problem http://community.coreldraw.com/share/b/coreldraw/archive/2015/12/17/new-tutorial-available-creating-a-metallic-effect-on-objects-and-fonts-using-coreldraw-and-corel-photo-paint-by-silvio-gomes.
      • I did just that same problem further more I got this warning.

        • Oh. Most probably your objects are on Deskop layer. (Probably outside your page border) OR you may have set the layer to Non Printable. To check, open object Manager docker. Select the objects on Desktop and move it on layer 1 on the page and try.
          • I see what you mean thanks but the Bitmaps still doesn't work I guess I will have to Download X7 again by the way I noticed the problem existed in the past
            • Yes, but this is not a problem or error of the program. You should work indise the page, not outside. UImagine if you're on your desktop, and place one sheet of paper, it's supposed that you should draw inside the paper, not on your table. Same is for CorelDRAW since the first version, objects on the "desktop" are on a non-printable layer, then also you can't export or edit those objects
                • Yes, I understand but the problem of Bitmaps not working still exist.See for yourself
              • Do you mean that you get that option if you import a bitmap and not when you convert an object to bitmap ? If so its weird.

I have seen this happen once to me in X4, with any bitmap converted or imported and that has some registry tweak. Let me check if I can find the registry entry that requires to be edited.
