Student version of x7. Just recently, the guidelines that you simply pull down or over by clicking and releasing where you want them has stopped working in that manner. I can click the RULER zone at the top or left, drag a dotted line down/over, but nothing remains when I release the click. Until this past week, never had this issue. Also, when I have been trying to edit how the guidelines function in the TOOLS/OPTIONS drop-down tab, CorelDRAW gets an error and closes.
Any suggestions?
Puzzled in PA
I just tried clicking the Guidlines tab on the right with my Object Properties, Object Manager, Envelop, Text Properties, Transformations, Extrude, etc.... there was a Guidelines tab there and it shut the program down when I clicked it. I currently have one HORIZONTAL and 2 VERTICAL guidelines.. I dare not delete them since I can't get them back... When I click one, the Object Properties has GUIDELINE and 2 dropdowns: line type and color. If you click the FOLDER icon upper right, the Summary pops ups with Selection: 1 Objects Selected, Layer: Master Guides (all pages), Type: Guideline and the Lock/Unlock icon. Another dropdown for Wrap Paragraph text (NONE is selected)... That's all I have... When I try to do too much with it, it shuts down.
"Guideline on Guides" doesn't appear, by the way.. just "Guideline"
This is my pop up window after double clicking the RULER
P.S. If it were white, my cursor should change from a pointer to the double arrow if I slowly cross over it when using the PICK tool, correct? By the way, thanks for trying to help me out... Will likely do a full uninstall and re-install from disks. The Uninstall Windows control panel REPAIR option didn't help. Neither did a "soft" install using the same thing
new file won't create guidelines.. was trying to pare down a file and save as test sample when I got this screen...
test file coreldraw.cdr
