importing a photo in Corel without building a very heavy file - less Mb in my final drawing

Dear all,

when working on a catalogue, for example, with many individual photos, how do you import them so that I don't end up with files 500Mb-1Gb large?

    The answer is relative to the image resolution. If you import a high resolution image and reduce it, the resolution will increase too much. Resize the image at the final size, then choose "Convert to bitmap" at 300 dpi CMYK (and transparent background if you need). That will create high resolution images but the file size will be smaller.
