Hi,
Using the Object Manager is a pain!
I wish to click on and item and immediately it will zoom to that object and group it then I want to rename the object.
Please implement this on the present upgrade for X7.
Thanks

Not every object but way too many layers for no reason. Especially for a file that was sent for output and 5 layers are turned of and those layers are 40% of the file size. I see this in Photoshop too.

This conversation is neither here nor there. Why do CorelDraw users want so badly not just to criticize Illustrator but also to criticize Illustrator users? It's kind of sad to watch. What do you gain by criticizing people who don't know what they are doing. The lack of experience or knowledge is not exclusive to people who use one program or another! It's childish talk.
I think the concept of increased features in the object manager is a good idea as long as it does not lead to the abusive use of layers,

In most cases it's because they're such screw-ups? Also Illustrators mind set is well difficult at best.
I hope a tough discussions on this forum will prevent CorelDraw users from using layers like Adobe people do, there is certainly a time and place for adding layers but it's currently used in a manner that makes more problems than it solves.
I am reading the same post, I believe a discussion on improvements to the object manager are in order, as long as we remember that we might get what we ask for. An example from the past was transparent shadows, everyone wanted them, on the Adobe side AI 9 was so bad the only fix was for use to buy AI 10 and to this day we suffer. It took Corel from version 7 or 8 to X4 to get them working as conceived and to this day we suffer although Corel has a better work flow for such things.
As far as the users here disliking Adobe Illustrator and the users of that product. So what!
I can count on one hand the Adobe files that come in that are usable as received in a month and I know that those products are not that bad. Then I go to the Adobe forums or trade show training and I understand why the files are screwed, it's the way Adobe thinks and wants you to work.
If you know what you're doing and are wiling to work within the Adobe constraints you can be just fine, but the mind set is not very productive for a wide enough work set, IMO.
