Hi Mr. Corel,
Hi Mr. Corel,I don't expect you to add features to Photopaint since only a few people in the universe use it.However, I do recommend that you drop back to version 6 so that CPT thumbnails will be present for us old timers.
In case, you want to add features I would recommend:1. A tool such as the Quick Selection Tool in Photoshop.2. Content Aware Fill as in Photoshop3. Remove the Shell Extension as Photoshop did.3. Make the CPT format public as Photoshop did so that Mystic Thumbs can create the thumbnails .
Phil
In general, I agree that the Mac OS is nice from a user's perspective.

The Preview App really doesn't like to faithfully represent most any print-ready PDF I make if there are spot colors, transparency, etc. But that's the only exception I have seen.
Apple does a lot of things right. Want to sell an application for the Mac OS? Conform to a set of absolute specs/requirements. That's a good thing. I look at Macs as having "refined sensibilities." Whereas Windows has always reflected the Wild Wild West sort of thing. It's been changing ever so slowly, but there really hasn't been a determination on MS' part to get there anytime soon.

Now there's an understatement if I've ever heard one! I get an increase in junk mail when I visit the VA (Veterans Administration) none of it VA related. Let's face it this is the 21st century information age whether it's the bank, Apple, Microsoft of the corner store they all suck up all the data they can. So bend over and get used to it, the cell tower your app pings off can be used in court to determine that you were in the kennel stepping out on the family cat. NO PROTECTION for apps.
So keep anything that's private on something that YOU MAKE SURE has no internet access.
Arguing over whether Apple or Microsoft is screwing you the most is as bad a arguing over which politician is screwing you the most. They are all!

I don't. That has never happened to me and there's no chance that the VA is sharing your personal information with 3rd parties to send you junk mail. LOL As usual, you just have no idea what's going on.

Except, that's not the argument. LOL But you of course never actually know what's being discussed.

RIGHT! 4 million people lose their privacy with a government run program, oh it was their employees. The NSA catches their employees spying on their spouses electronic communications, that never happened right!
I make my first call on the VA in over 30 years, give them my private information and within 10 days I start receiving mail which has specific information in it which I jut gave out.
OK I trust the government! [:P]
NO way that someone slipped one of the people a couple C notes for a list, those people all were really wealthy and don't need any money or they were all paragons of virtue. I hope this line drips with sarcasm!
This is the human race we're talking about, you can buy anything or damn near anyone!
Yep you're an Adobe guy.

See what you did right there. Rather than blaming the VA as whole as you originally did, you're now blaming the actions of some rogue employee. It is obviously not the policy of the VA to do such things. As always with you, there's no truth. Just loud talking.
I probably have less faith in humanity than you. And I've mentioned 50 times that I hate Adobe for their policy of renting software even though it's super high quality software. But how can I hate Adobe for renting super high quality software and not hate Corel for selling trash for decades? Somehow though, you make an exception for Corel, who is also trying to rent that trash software as best they can.
KuttyJoe said:See what you did right there. Rather than blaming the VA as whole as you originally did, you're now blaming the actions of some rogue employee
This is what I mean by Adobe person, limited thinking, the VA, like a church, like a city, state or federal government or anything else is just an organization made up of people, but the individuals action is an action of the whole, they can't be separated. It's the organizations fault that their policies do not prevent abuse. So it does not matter what policy any of them have, they will do what they do, so protect your self.
That's why we have policemen killing people, school teachers and church people having sex with kids, government corruption in a vast scale. Any study of history will show that we as humans are what we are and any organization we create in the end reflects what we are.
Now as far as Corel I've been pushing the corporation to move their product since version 4 when is was barely useful except for the really talented. It's now useful for a general use in the professional arena so if you ask some of the current and past managers they may have a different opinion on how I have treated them.

Nonsense. The organization has policies. An individual may break those policies. First you condemned the organization. Then you thought better of it and instead condemned the rogue employee. Now you are trying to conflate the two as if they are one and the same. They are not. For you, the result might be the same. Not that you can prove a drop of what you just stated about the junk mail.
My only point is that it's highly unlikely that it is the policy of the VA to do such a thing. If an individual within the VA did it, then there's no point in mentioning the name of the VA in your little rant.
KuttyJoe said:Nonsense. The organization has policies. An individual may break those policies
And their are legal ramifications bot criminal and civil so both are considered liable.
KuttyJoe said:First you condemned the organization. Then you thought better of it and instead condemned the rogue employee.
This is what I mean by short thinking, I never separated them, my first post was the organization, including the individual and the second post simply informed how these thing happen and did not relieve the organization of its responsibility.
KuttyJoe said:Not that you can prove a drop of what you just stated about the junk mail.
I can but it's not worth it, no real monetary damage just a PITA, I get the same thing when I buy computer parts on line, I use a special e-mail and have all privacy enabled in my account and within days I get junk mail. I know this because I set up accounts just for large purchases.
KuttyJoe said:My only point is that it's highly unlikely that it is the policy of the VA to do such a thing. If an individual within the VA did it, then there's no point in mentioning the name of the VA in your little rant
Of course their public policy says what's politically correct, what gets done and what the organizations leaders know and what they do about what they know can be another thing.
If the individual represented the VA or any other organization then it is correct to mention them and that's the point. Just as people blame Corel, Apple or Microsoft for assumed or real privacy intrusions.
As I said before PROTECT YOURSELF, I have 3 networks in my home, 1 for public access, 1 for graphic access and 1 for secure business I also have 3 networks in every remote business office.
For posters to complain on forums about the way MS or Apple or any other data collection is like going to the beach and complaining about sand and getting wet. These are the facts of a modern existence.
The best discussion is on how to protect yourself. I got popped for 3 grand on a CC and since we compartmentalize credit we knew it was the pool purchase, got the money back and they busted the clerk.
