just upgraded to corel x7 and I keep getting this message every time I save manually.
*.cdr was modified by another user since you opened the file. To prevent losing your changes, please save the file with a new name (File>Save As).
I don't want to keep saving files with a different name every time I manually save. Any ideas how to fix? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
i am using 17.1.0.572. I believe that is the latest update. Corel says its up to date.
Does anyone know if the SaveAs issue has been fixed?
I am using CorelDraw x7Opened a file that was created in version 16 (4,762 kb)opens fineClick SaveAs and change the version to 15Click SaveAnd now CorelDraw is basically hung. The task manager shows it is doing something (using 25% cpu)also a tmp file is created in the directory that I was saving to (on local hard drive) after 20 minutes I killed the process.
Now I can take another file (size is 1,704 kb)and after a few minutes or so it would eventually save to the CDR version 15.Now I can take another file (size is 424 kb)and it saves immediately to the CDR version 15.I am on Windows 7 (64bit)CorelDraw x7 (17.1.0.572)Also Workspace SAVE option for "Back up original file before saving" is uncheckedAlso Document SAVE option for "Save presentation exchange (CMX)" is unchecked.
PLEASE Help......
If you are getting frequent hangs during saving, you can try turning off tools > options > global > enable background tasks.

Also click on help > updates. It should offer you the X7.2 update (17.2.x.x).
I upgraded the CorelDraw to 17.2.0.688
