just upgraded to corel x7 and I keep getting this message every time I save manually.
*.cdr was modified by another user since you opened the file. To prevent losing your changes, please save the file with a new name (File>Save As).
I don't want to keep saving files with a different name every time I manually save. Any ideas how to fix? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
I should explain more, all full permissions to read, write, etc are allowed. Just do not have permission to access certain sub folders ie. administration.
Using the same permissions as we used for corel x5. Never had any of these problems till upgrading to X7.
Hello PPinc; Try a couple of words in something like Note Pad and see if that will save to the laned folder.

I can save anything on the network including previous version of corel, word files, excel files, pdf's, illustrator, photoshop, indd files, txt files, rtf files, etc. It is just corel x7 files that are being a problem.
I have reviews all permissions, I have played with different settings pertaining to backup options and have had no luck :(
Do you have the X7.1 update? There was a change in that, intended to fix a dropbox problem, but it might also help network saving.
