Hi
I am facing this weird problem of late
I typed a certain matter in normal font with black color but the moment I added an email ID to the text, The color of the text changed to blue with an underline. Please read that the color of the text changed from black to blue, Initially in Corel Draw X6 only the color of the email ID changed which was quite normal as we could change it back to black and remove the outline. But here I am trying to change the color from blue to black and remove the underline it just doesnt happen no matter how much I click on Black fill and Underline Tab.
This is kinda weird
I recently went through the X7 Update so I don't know whether this is an update issue or on old issue.
Though I removed the automatic hyperlink option from the options - Text Properties - Quick Correct.
But that's not an issue. The issue is if the automatic hyperlink is checked, the color changes to blue and refuses to change to any other color n refuses to remove the undreline.
I am attaching the affected file herewith
Now that you have turned the hyperlink option off, I think you will be able to fix this problem by selecting that middle block of text (including at least one black character before and after it), copy it into notepad, copy the result back to clipboard and then paste it in place of the original.
Is it possible to disable auto styling links (X7.4)? I.e. I need that link but I want to recolor the text.
Addon:I clarified that links became hard styled in case of a link is applied to a part of a text (artistic or paragraph), not a whole block. Moreover these links aren't displayed in Links and Bookmarks docker. I think it's a bug.

The problem occurs when copying text from other programs, such as word. If the text already has a link in it, CorelDraw will not recognise that and will simply embed the text, including the link formatting, into the text without actually understanding it. Consequently the facilities to manage the attributes will not be available through the links docker.
The answer though should be the same as before -- select the offending text including at least one plain text character before and after the link, paste somewhere like notepad that does not support character attributes (the text box in the windows Run command is a faster alternative for a single line), select it again from there and paste it back into the original text object. Then you can either make a proper link within CorelDraw (which I think will respect the doument's link styles) and/or apply the underline or other attributes as you need.
In general though, I'd recommend not pasting text direct from word. It's always safer to paste it into notepad to eliminate word's horrendous embedded formatting, bring it in as plain text and apply your own formatting safely from within CorelDraw.
No just a default setting that can be changed, BTW one I argued against.
Tools > options > workspace > text > quick correct > automatically hyperlink.
Turning this off will prevent CorelDraw generating hyperlinks for plain text. If pasting text from other sources, you need to ensure that it does not contain hyperlinks already in the text.
It has two values -- on or off. I think that is what David meant. As far as I'm aware, that is the only default setting that can be changed.
That makes sense if you consider that hyperlinks are primarily intended for HTML markup. The principle of HTML is that you define a feature by a code that says only that it is a hyperlink and then define a stylesheet that says how hyperlinks should appear on the site or page that contains the hyperlink. You can in principle change the colours of an individual hyperlink within the document content, and can even change them for every hyperlink in a document if you wish, but that all the HTML recommendations say that content and style should be kept separate -- which Corel's "automatically hyperlink" is intended to allow.
This breaks down if you choose to use hyperlinks for other purposes, eg in PDF. Does a PDF document have a stylesheet? I'm not aware of one.
I think too that Corel's hyperlink implementation is only partly-thought out and not working well. Personally I would use CorelDraw only to create the graphic elements of a web site, and use a proper HTML editor to create the text.
But if you want to create something that looks like a hyperlink in a printed document, that should be possible by turning off automatic hyperlinking and manually applying an object style to your links.
