My daughters laptop does not have a disk drive. Can she download the trial versions and use the educational serial? Or do I have to buy her a portable bluray player drive?
I'm not sure about the trial version compatibility, only Corel can answer that. But you can probably copy the entire DVD to a USB memory stick or hard drive, find the setup program and run it from there.
Good thought Harry. As long as the install does not need to reference the DVD for some copy protection. Soon as the disks come I will post results for others since no drives are becoming more prevalent.
Hello Robert; You do need some type of storage to store the program on, and have enough memory to run the program. I don't know for sure but you may get a nasty gram from Corel it you run them both at the same time.
George
George? What do you mean run both at the same time?
As per Harries advice I am going to try to copy the disk to a usb to install. Another thought might be to compress the entire disk to a single file and mount it for installation. This may all be for nothing since it looks like Corel does not support touch very well with CD X7.
