I have an installation issue with X7.3 update. On my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Lenovo laptop, the installation progresses to a point where a small window opens up and shows only part of the Corel balloon icon and nothing else. No buttons, no scroll bars, cannot maximize to show anything else. I had a similar issue with an upgrade of X5 to X7 on a Dell Latitude. Is there something I can do? Repeated downloads don't change anything.
X7 is less prone to this problem, but it may still have a problem if you have a small screen.
Look at control panel > display and see if the font size is set greater than 100%. Reducing it may let you get past the installation, and then perhaps you can put it back.
It didn't solve my problem
Ultimately, I went around the installation routine and ran setup.exe from the folder where CorelDraw was installed: C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X7\Setup. It jumped past whatever screen was causing me the problem and I was able to continue to install. Hope this works for you.
Copy/Paste Setup.exe in the installation folder, then run "Setup - Copy.exe". Apparently any name other than Setup works. The other alternative is to install using a different Windows User Account. This issue persists to this day.
