I'm designing a tradeshow display at full scale in X7. Size with crop marks is 221"w x 108"h. When I make a pdf for the third party they inform me that the file comes in at 200"w x ....
Sure enough when I open the pdf in illy it's cutting it off. I try to create a new doc in illy that's 275"w and it pops up telling me the limit is 227.54"
I can import the pdf back into coreldraw with no problems. I'm going to scale it 50% then make the pdf but....
yes as far as I know, one reason I dropped it years ago
Yes and remember that you're going to be stuck with TIF or EPS for export at full scale. When in the sign business Adobe products are not very helpful, I have 14 projects in excess of 300" right now.

And InDesign's size limit is 216". Neither application can make a PDF larger than 200" total size (page/artboard plus any trim).
No one is left at Adobe who remembers why the ability to create pages larger than the artificial limit on a PDF dimension is possible.
I tried your Distiller method and Versaworks seemed ok but Rasterlynk is a non starter.
