Does anyone know a way to fix the curve points surplus so I can better export for CAD cutting machines?
When I trace a photo I want, most curves are more complicated than needed, maybe you know a macro or something to simplify the curves...less points mean less thinking time for the cutting machines...less breakdowns, etc.
Thanks!
Hello Georgiana: It mainly depends on what type of cutter you are prepping for..... A GOOD cutter doesn't mind a complicated cut, it's the weeding that will get you. Once the art work is traced you could edit the nodes and get the drawing the way you want it. With some drawings I find it better to lock the file down and draw over it to get what you want to work with. Ariel has given you one way to cut down on the number of nodes. And the fewer the nodes the better you are. There is not a solution for the placing of nodes that I have found in over 25 years of doing files for graphics. So you just have to bite the bullet and get the node were they'll work for you.
