Sorry, but there's not an universal solution for all files. You should remember that it's not only about CorelDRAW, the version 9.0 (from my personal point of view, the best version ever) was developed for run under Windows 95/98, it was not created for run under Windows XP, and later Microsoft develop several other releases (the Service packs of Windows XP, Windows Millenium, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 / 8.1 and Windows 10). The fonts created for Windows 95/98 are different than the new fonts, although some old fonts still works. On this time, Windows only allows trueType, you should have to install Adobe typeManager in order to use Type1 fonts, and OpenType fonts still doesn't exist. So, it was not only one version of CorelDRAW, it was 8 version later, ans several Windows releases later. For each Windows change and for each fonts evolution, CorelDRAW had to change in order of to be compatible. So, I couldn't promise that all files made for Windows 95/98 (from the past century) could open without change.
But, although it may seem that it is not an optimistic point of view, it is not impossible either. CorelDRAW includes its own font manager, according to the version, and if you execute that program first, then when you open the file you will find the fonts on your hard disk and install them automatically. And if you do not have the source installed, it will warn you to search for it and install them manually. If you see symbols or a different font, it is because the font that was used in that file is not installed. Then, if you install the fonts (the same font) the file will open fine.
