In CorelDraw X7, is it possible to specify the length of a part of an object? For example in the object below, can I make the length of the RED rectangle be X and as a result resize the whole object keeping the original proportions.
Thanks!
If the only thing you want to resize is the rectangle, then David is correct. You can simply change the width, with the ratio locked so that the change is applied proportionately.
Size the one you want to have as an exact size using the property bar, note the percentage. Undo that scaling, select all the objects you want to size and set the percentage in the property bar. It takes 3 or 4 seconds.

That approach works great if the "one object" being used for a reference was 100% before resizing it to the new target size.
If an object has been resized after originally being created, then it won't necessarily be 100%.
Converting it to curve, or add a boundary and group this will give you the size to 100%.
Thank you, this is great and simple solution!
I like simple answers too. Macros have their place but as you upgrade sometimes they just stop working. I wish Corel would put more effort in supporting macro developers.
