When saving a file previously done in x6 and making a modification in x7 and saving, the type of file is not updated from x6 to x7 in the folder information.
Hello dogonowski; Below is a screen shot of a file from a very old Corel Clip Art disk that show the properties of the file once resaved in X7, I wish that it did show the real date the file was made.

I wonder about your file associations. When you right-click a .CDR file in File Explorer, what shows as the program the file opens with?
If the dialog box reports that .CDR files open with X6, you can click the "Change" button, choose X7, then make sure the "Always use selected program..." box is checked in the resulting dialog.
Windows is currently not capable of showing more than one type for every file that has a CDR file extension.
You can however make the display more sensible by enabling the File Version column ...
