So I want to do a simple gold-yellow-gold-yellow-gold fountain fill in X7.
In X6, I can just choose the Gold preset and change accordingly.
In X7, I'm lost.First, there is no more presets. Second, when I try to choose the node color, there is no standard colors with names to choose from (Gold in this case). If I try to pick the color (e.g. Yellow) from the color palette, the default color palette is PANTONE Solid Coated instead of CMYK.And there is no more Edge pad option.
That is ridiculously troublesome for a simple task.
Tony, and others, here are some steps to follow:
Make sure the default CMYK palette is set to be the default (click the palette arrow and then "Set As Default"), and then Options > Save Settings as Default.Restart Draw and double check to make sure the CMYK palette is still marked as being the default palette.Create an object and then hit "g" to activate the Interactive Fill tool, and drag across the rectangle.Click one of the end nodes, in my case one is black, the other one white, to make the node fill bar appear next to the node.Click the color swatch and the color viewer will appear, showing the node's CMYK color. Now, click the "Show color palettes" icon in the viewer.
In my case, it shows the Pantone color palette, not the default palette.
