I am confused ( and upset) about how Corelx7 formats forced justified paragraph text. In x5, in lines of paragraph text, let's say there are few words in that line, the words would retain proper character spacing but the word spacing would be increased ( more space between words). This was fine. In X7 I notice that the space between letters is increased and it looks ridiculous. There is so much space between letters that one cannot identify separate words. I tried to find some setting where i can define a maximum letter spacing but cannot find one. Has anyone else come across this problem and if so, how did you manage to find a solution? This especially happens when i choose "update text" from a corel x5 file ( but also happens when creating a new file in x7 when i import a text from the internet for example).
thanks,
impwriter.
I have not noticed that problem in any full-justify paragraphs. Have you checked that you are using full-justify and not force-justify, which might need to do that on the last line of a paragraph.
It may also happen if you have an unusually long word that cannot be split, or very narrow paragraphs compared with the font size -- but previous versions would surely have done the same if the text cannot be made to fit
Perhaps the spacing settings are mucked up...try opening the Spacing Settings window from the Object Properties docker and check what it has in there for numbers compared to X5.

Hello impwriter; To add a little to whats said above you can add icons on the screen from Corel as the screen shot below, and once you ge it adjusted where you want it make a copy and convert it to curves.
