*.cdr was modified by another user since you opened the file

Corel 7.3, Win 7 64bit.

Suddenly im getting the message below when saving. Sometimes it happens instantly other times I get a couple of saves before it pops up. Its massively annoying as saving progress means i have use saves as with a new file name every time.

There is only 1 corel user and only 1 windows user (Admin) for the PC Im working on.

Any suggestions?

I have the same issue all of the time. At least once a day on completely different files that I know no one else is using. It started happening for me after I did this last 4 update. It's driving me insane. I know that now we're on the cloud it's taking files a lot longer to save and it's also started creating multiple backups for me, which is super annoying. So i've let this file sit and I wait to see if it just takes some time, but it won't overwrite. I have to save it as a new file. It has nothing to do with windows or explorer. This starting happening immediately after the 4 update.

This was people across network drives.... guy A opens the file and goes home...guy B opens the file, makes a change and saves the file..next day guy A comes back, saves the file overwriting the changes from B.

From the time you opened that file, till the time you saved it, something has popped that file open and done something to it....likely it was a virus scanner checking the file....when DRAW goes to save the file out it's checking the time stamp to make sure the file has not been modified, but Windows says the time stamp is different from the time it was opened...if you're the only user you can safely overwrite the file.

We are on a Network, but the files I'm working on, I'm for sure the only one using them. Is there a way to overwrite the file without having to create a whole new one? The virus scan makes sense then I guess. But why is it all of a sudden? Since the last update this is happening now? Can it be fixed? It's very taxing to deal with on a daily basis
