Corel 7.3, Win 7 64bit.
Suddenly im getting the message below when saving. Sometimes it happens instantly other times I get a couple of saves before it pops up. Its massively annoying as saving progress means i have use saves as with a new file name every time.
There is only 1 corel user and only 1 windows user (Admin) for the PC Im working on.
Any suggestions?
Hello DallvidonCorel; To go along with what Ariel is saying, most of us that have been using Corel for awhile use "Save As" right after starting a file then as we are working we use Ctrl+s to save the file. If you look at the screen shot you posted it says Users no user. George
I'm also looking for a solution, as of right now though in order to overwrite the file and not have multiple versions of my project floating around I do the following. I [Ctrl+Shift+S] then select my .cdr file and hit delete on my keyboard followed by enter to confirm deletion. Then with the File Explorer still open, I enter [Alt+Up Arrow] followed by [Alt+Left Arrow] to bring me back to the same location where my file was. At this point, the File Explorer won't recognize any trace of my project being saved there and will allow me to save my .cdr project without a problem. It's not as simple as [Ctrl+S]. However, as a workaround it'll at least help you avoid saving multiple copies when you're working with a file requiring multiple saves throughout your day. I also accessed Tools>Customization>Workspace>Save: and brought down [Back up every:] down to 5 minutes, since I did experience losing some work due to [Ctrl+S] not working as it should.
I hope this helps some until Corel provides a solution.
Have a blessed day.

that show it was a Windows issue, not about CorelDRAW
DavidonCorel said:Ariel I have to disagree. This is a uniquely Corel issue. We work with many other applications that dont have this issue.
I saw this problem or very similar with other programs too, even on computers without CorelDRAW. For example, if I try to rename a file after sent by e-mail. Also, on other computer it was unable to replace a file when export it, no error message but the exported file doesn't change... I suggested to close the Preview panel on WIndows Explorer and all worked fine, I don't try to convince nobody that is a problem of Windows for minimize the Corel responsability, I just try to share my own experience
