I'm a CorelDraw X7 user and I need your help. I recently created an illustration for someone, and the prinitng company wants an .AI or .EPS file. Which really sucks, because I don't have professional knowledge and I don't like Illustrator. Now, the main issue is that I cannot export the file proper. What I do is export as PDF from Corel (CMYK) and open the PDF in Illustrator. Then save it as .AI And here starts the problems. It seems that the export resulted in a file with clipping masks around raster images, and the files must be 100% vector. I used gradients in my work, and I know this is a great issue of compatibility with Illustrator. Whatever export extension and settings I use...it still doesn't display properly in Illustrator. Any help will be very much appreciated, thank you very much.

Hello Khaan,
Have you tried simply exporting as a .AI file?If you only have gradients in your original file you shouldn't have any problems. If you have bitmaps though, it'll be troublesome.Good luck.
