text and an image on a curve

Hi

I know how to do text on a curve using normal text. But i want to do it using an image , for example i want it to read     "I 'LOVE' my elephant" (where it says 'LOVE' i want to replace it with a red heart).   I do it OK using normal text in a straight line just hover over the line of the circle until it changes shape, click and type.   But cant seem to do it with the heart on a text curve, i have the line with the heart pre-made so how would i put that on the curve of the circle.   Any ideas guys? please. To you this is simple to me its impossible at the moment. Your help in simple terms would be very very welcome , thanks Phil

    • That's a neat trick. It's a way to cheat at the object on path lack. Good to know.
      • Hi Mek

Thanks for your reply. I managed to do it by hook or by crook. I tend to play around a little on Corel Draw X7, seems to keep me happy, the end result has been a small business in personalised clocks, which i have now had to sell because of a hand tremor, and now in magnets and keyrings, so my efforts have not all been wasted. I am battling Parkinson's, and there seems to be an ever-growing list of things i want to do but can't, so I treat Corel Draw as a bit of therapy.

I have put questions before to you guys and i am always pleasantly surprised how you are willing to spend a little time to help with my problem. It is most welcome, thanks.

        Thanks again

        Kind regards

        Phil
    • Draw doesn't have, and it should, an object to path option. Since it is one object, maybe you could leave some spaces in your text and position it manually. There are a number of fonts that have a heart as a glyph. Then it would be treated by draw as text.

      • Hi David

Thanks go out to you as I did to Mek I was most grateful for your reply. The end result was achieved by mixture of suggestions and now i have a 'template' which i can see whenever i want, not that I have many customers who have elephants!!!

        Kind regards

        Phil
