function hook to object always enabled

even if the function hooks to guidelines, grid, object and all the others is disabled, when i resize an object it's always active and I can't freely resize it if near some coupling point because it attracts me.

it's a bug or I do something wrong?

  • From the Standard Toolbar, click on the Snap To button and see if any are set. If so, clear any setting and then try your resizing. The most often overlooked Snap To setting is 'Objects'.

    • It is the first thing I did, but snap is always active and It is very difficult to freely resize objects with mouse.

      any other suggestions?
      uninstall and reinstall?

      • Try resetting DRAW to factory defaults (see below) and then setting your Snap-To settings to the way you want them.

To reset DRAW to factory defaults, close DRAW, then press and hold down the F8 key and start DRAW. When a pop-up dialog appears, asking if you wish to reset to factory defaults, answer, 'Yes'. Please note that this action will erase any customization(s) that you made to DRAW, but DRAW will be exactly the way it was the first time you started it.
        • Before resetting to factory defaults (to be used in as an absolute worst case scenario fix). Did you set the snap functions the way you want then hit save settings as default under Tools?
          • With this reset I have solved all my problems. Thank you.
            • You are welcome.Glad that a reset fixed it.
