CorelDRAW X8 Error opening cdr files

Error opening cdr files

After saving my file on Corel Draw x8 version, the same doesn't open later. When I try to open, the file opens blank. (like opening a x8 file in a x7 version).

I have the same problem. I saved the file, closed X8. Later traied to open (doble click the file) , and it opens blank, like a new file "subtitle". When trying to open it from the "open" option, it send an error message: reading error E/S. Even the backup file is damaged.

To correct and recover the file, made a copy of the file, then remove the embedded font content from the file, by renaming the .CDR file to .ZIP. Double-click the .zip to view the content, then delete contents of the ‘embed’ folder in the .zip container. Then rename the file back to .cdr. You may see Panose font matching on open of the file, if the fonts are not installed.
