Ok I know this may sounds stupid, I have been designing for about 10 yrs on a OLD and I Mean OLD program. I learned how to use it after hours and hours of trial and A LOT OF ERROR and looking to upgrade for cutting vinyl so any suggestions on the program /and plug ins would be super ... I am clueless and embarrassed to even ask. but the program I currently use is not compatible with the cutter I want to upgrade to so changes are forth coming.

Many people use CorelDRAW for vinyl cutting, in my case for over 20 years. One affordable macro/plugin with many helpful features is e-cut.
What cutter are you upgrading to?
We went with a Mamiki and use CorelDraw all the time with the built in rasterlynk RIP.
Currently we have CE5000- 60 and look to upgrade to the CE6000 Plus but want to be able to run both in the the interim until I get everything transitioned
Graphtec has a plug-in called Cutting Master 4 which should work with Draw and the CE6000 Plus cutter.Have an old Graphtec that I use now and then when I need that extra super duper quality (excellent cutters) and tried an earlier version some years ago but don't remember exactly how it worked.It is free though and worth a try.
