I am designing an Enclosure for an Electronic Project, the material is acrylic of 2.5 mm which later I am going to engrave with a CNC Router.
I have problems designing the layout, this is what I have:
and it should look this way:
How do I get rid of the extra lines?
There may be more than one way to approach this.
Shaping tools (Weld, Trim, Intersect, Boundary, etc.) are one way.
Smart Fill is another tool that can work really well for this.
Fillet/Chamfer/Scallop (Corners in CorelDRAW 2019) can be useful for producing rounded corners.
It's good to keep in mind that some of the approaches are "destructive", to the extent that they don't retain the original shapes. In some cases, I like to keep a copy of the original "starting material".
for start
Select the circle then shift select the rectangle and click the trim icon then delete the circle.
Extend this rectangle out then shift select the larger rectangle and again hit trim and delete the "extended" one
try the Virtual Segment Delete tool.
