Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help me. It's now 14.51hrs and I started work at 06.40 hrs this morning, I've not been able to resolve this problem though I've been working on it for seven hours!!!! Including trips to work and home trying different printers!
I'm relatively new to graphic design but have managed with my limited knowledge previously.
I make negatives using A4 acetate film in my laser printer. The problem is that the negative looks fine on the screen, but when the job is printed it's either not dark enough to use, or I have thousands of tiny dots on either the clear or the black.
I only ever use mono printing, never any colours. I just make negatives which I use to make vinyl printing plates for printing 'Keyloops'. www.keyloops.com
Could anyone help with basic settings for the printer? The issue seems to be in the print dialogue as everything looks fine on the screen.
Thanks,
Alex
It seems that you may be working to a non-postscript printer use R0G0B0 for the color black or under the tools menu color management default settings select preserve pure black
Thanks David & Ariel, I tried the 'preserve pure black' settings and also B&W option on the bitmap together with 'line art', and it seems to work. - I was very stressed and so it was good to get some external advice - thanks so much!
Make sure that you're using "pure black" enabled, under tools / color management and under Print menu
