I want to make crossword puzzles on posters. Can I use Corel? I want the original crossword strong enough so it will hold up to being enlarged and copied. Thank you for advice.

Yes, but I'd use a crossword puzzle generator program (some are free), print the result to PDF, and import that into CorelDRAW.
I tried that, but it wasn't free. Crossword Weaver
you're right, that would make it so much easier for me, Jeff
`
I went there and it is not free.
What if I already have one made up, Jeff? It is in my computer. I made it in Microsoft Paint

Yes it is, I made the resulting CDR using the steps I described, seconds ago.

You need to rebuild it from scratch as vector objects inside Coreldraw.
I gave the site the info I wanted for the puzzle, but it won't let me finish it unless I am a subscriber, and I have to pay. How did you make a puzzle without paying?
Below is the crossword i made in Microsoft Paint. This is how I would like the puzzle to look

You'll need to learn about rectangles... :-)
see attached
I recreated your puzzle using Corel Draw X4. So, yes it can be done. Took me about 15 min. It is nothing more than a series of rectangles, Some filled black. see attached.
You have not mentioned what version of Corel you have.
EDIT: I was off creating my version when Jeff posted his.
I don't have Corel yet. I came here to see if Corel can help me.
From what you guys are saying, it apparently can
Jeff, I went to page bottom, filled in words & clues, hit create puzzle, and then I selected the number of squares across and down and clicked on Create Crossword. Then a page with my crossword came up.
not sure what to do now .... sorry ... I did download the pdfcreator you posted for me, TY.
I now have a crossword graphic in ADOBE pdf .... what do I do now? I don't know how to transfer it to CorelDRAW
I am so close. I feel it. Please help.
The easiest way:
File>Import.
Sorry for not replying sooner but It's sunday here.
It would also be easier using the Transformation Docker. (ALT+F7)
Draw a Rectangle (F6) and duplicate using the Transformation Docker.
Will post a detailed reply if you are unsure about going about this.
