Hallo liebes Forum,

Dear Forum,
I have a problem with spot colors from X3 to X5. I have defined some spot colors in my X3 to tell my Roland Printer what he has to do. When i open a file, made in X3 using one of these spot colors, with my new X5, the spot color will be replaced with turquoise. I have no problems opening x3 files in x5 when i used a color from the CMYK palette.
Is there a solution to retrieve my spot colors?
best regards, Robert
Hi,.
I have a similar issue with x4 and x5 even though the palettes are from the same manufacturer and designed for the versions they are being used in. The colors are the same in the palettes.
Example. A file is made in x5 that contains a certain spot color and is opened or imported into x4. When exported to eps from x4 the spots will not be seen by the rip unless I manually find them and switch them to their corresponding color from the palette in the x4 version.
I check with a macro before sending exporting and sending to rip. This enables me to find any problem colors or switch spots if needed.
