Cannot install update 1

It's all good Sharon. I was expecting a page to login on when I hit continue, but it just sat there and did nothing. Instead, I opened designer, logged in there, closed designer and then the update worked. I made the assumption that an update program telling you that you needed to log in might have had the facility to do so!

By the way, both the original install process and the update had in internet-explorer style intervention with a yellow bar appearing at the top of the window warning of potentially unsafe components (I can't remember exactly what it said) that you have to click on and choose "allow" for things to proceed. Is this normal?

Yes, when you launch the Update installer, if you are not already signed in, there should be a sign in dialog appear. I'm not sure why it failed, but we will look into this. Perhaps just a temporary 'glitch', but we will investigate.

As for the 'yellow bar' appearing, this can occur when certain security settings are elevated on the system. So yes, it is normal under these circumstances.

I have the exact same problem, but the solution did not fix it for me.
I have a classroom of windows 10 pcs and when i click continue in X7 Update 2 on the page with the acount information, then simply nothing hapens. But, I allredy logged in in Corel Designer with the corel account.
Besides of this, i can't delete corel designer files (error: files in use by windows explorer) of the desktop of the users (with folder redirection on the server). I know that this looks like another problem with the PCs, but this ONLY happens to the corel designer files, any other file can normaly removed.
Because X7 get windows 10 support with Update 2, I hoped the Updates would fix it, but i cant install the update...
