Hi. I am using corel draw X5.
I have jpg image.and import in coreldraw.
then right click on it. It gives outline tracing option, in it Line art option is display. click on it
and then i have proceed my process then ok.
Now up to this , it is fine. and my one page is completed.
Then i have take second page. and proceed but it gives an error. and i have to close the coreldraw.
and again to reopen. and then i proceed it works. but again took third page it gave an error.
That means it proceed one page at a time then encounters an error.
What is the solution? Please.
Make sure you have all the X5 updates -- see http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index.jsp?pgid=800161&ppid=1000083&popular
What version of windows are you running, and how much memory do you have? Have you emptied the %tempfiles% folder recently?
I am using windows 8.
8GB ram
yes i have tried to empty the %temp% folder.
it didn't work.
I haven't tried to update. its necessary to do it.
This problem is also happen in windows 7.
There is solution to use latest version of coreldraw x6 or x7 ?
X6 (with all updates) and X7 should both run in Windows 8, though I only use windows 7 here.
I just tested X7 doing outline traces of half page 200dpi photos on 5 consecutive pages in windows 7 and it worked fine. But the best test would be to download the X7 trial and prove that it works in windows 8 and with your own bitmaps.
Thanks.
You have tried 200dpi photos but i have all 600dpi photos and have to outline tracing.
so is this happen due to 600 dpi photos.?
One thing i also check that
when i have used corel x4 in windows 7, then 3 to 4 or some times 5 consecutive pages i can perform.
then it gives me an error. then
I have install x5 , then i am not able to do more than 1 page.

It could be. Most versions pop up a warning that the resolution is too high if you try to trace an image that is more than 200dpi.
So you could also try resampling to 200dpi before tracing in your present X5 system. The results are unlikely to be any different because the trace is looking for shapes, not individual pixels.
Ok thanks. I will try on 200dpi photo.
I would like to ask you one question that i have thousands of jpg images.
i would trace all the page simultaneously.
is there any method to trace all the pages.
Can i use macro but i don't know any thing about macro?
Can you help me to resolve this problem?
It is possible to record and replay macros without knowing very much -- it only requires you to start the recorder, carry out some steps like you would do in CorelDraw itself, stop the recorder, save it with a name and then replay it whenever you want to do the same again.
Unfortunately, the recorder is not very good and there are many features that the recorder completely ignores. Tracing a bitmap is one of them. So, the recorder will not help you write a macro about tracing bitmaps.
It is also possible to write macros completely from scratch, but that will probably be quite difficult if you do not have at least some programming knowledge.
You probably have a PDF containing the instructions. I'm not sure if it is in the same place for X5, but try looking in the folder "C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5\Data" and see if there is a file called Macro Programming Guide.pdf
