Architectural Plan Sets

I am an architect and was wondering if anyone has tryed bringing drawings into CorelDRAW X5 to a 1/4"=1' or 1/8"=1' ? I use Chief Architect software. Chief Architect is a great Arcitectural design software, but the plan set & printing in Chief Architect is nothing to special. What I am trying to do is export my Chief designs to CorelDRAW to make the actuall Plan Sets. Chief will alow me to export to a AutoCAD DXF file and I know I can import DWG & DXF files I am just wondering how to do it wwthout loosing the scale? If you have and Ideas please let me know thanks!

  • I'm unfamiliar with Chief Architect but I routinely receive artwork from
architects. Sometimes in DXG form but mostly as a PDF. I prefer a PDF.
The PDFs I receive are usually already scaled but it's fairly easy to
scale the artwork to anything you would like.

If you create your artwork at 1/4"=1', then your artwork will import
proportionately to that scale. Draw shouldn't be resizing anything. If
you need to click on items and see the size you can simply change the
document scale to match whatever your artwork is set at. Right-click the
ruler along the edge of your drawing area in X5 and select Ruler Setup.
Then hit the Edit Scale button where you can change the document scale
    to anything you would like.
