Hello, friends, recently we have a Service Pack that has solved many problems of the original version, but surely there are more things to solve. I want to open a list of ideas and suggestions, so as to correct errors for a second package. If someone wants to say something to the Corel team, this is the right place, for sure they will read this post.
Enjoy CorelDRAW!

Thanks for creating this thread!
!!!!AN IMPORTANT THING!!!! Keep this thread as direct and clean as possible so won't miss issues that people are running into. If there is a previous problem that you posted on, that wasn't fixed in SP1, please provide the link to the original thread. If there is a tangent to an issue you would like to discuss, please have a pm or start a new thread.
Thanks all!
T.
As described in detail in another Photo Paint X5 thread, PP appears to be running out of memory after opening or saving 5-7 images and then refuses to save/export any additional images, and soon crashes thereafter. See that thread for specifics. I've resorted to shutting down and reopening PP after ~ 5 save/export operations just so I won't lose my work, though I still do sometimes.
If you open multiple images in PP, the zoom feature often paints a blank gray rectangle on the screen instead of the image contents.
Hello,
i just installed CorelDraw GS X5 SP1 on my Win7 machine and I am not amused by the big amount of GUI bugs. I use Win7 with 150% font scaling with 1920x1080 display resolution. But Corel does not scale most of the GUI elements. Text boxes are too small, such that larger text does not fit in and gets cropped. Window metrics, borders and text frames do not scale to fit its containing text properly.
I have uploaded two screenshots to show the GUI problems at some points. But these visual bugs appear everywhere in the Graphics Suite, not only in the cases displayed. http://www.mschroen.de/upload/sp2-wishes_1.jpg , http://www.mschroen.de/upload/sp2-wishes_2.jpg .
For SP2 i am wishing a scalable GUI compatible with bigger font sizes of the operating system.
Hoping that the Corel GUI developers start to build modern liquid and scalable user interfaces... ;-)Martin
For CorelDRAW X5: an "Assign profile" for individual bitmaps should be added (If a bitmap is imported with the wrong color profile, we should have an option to assign another profile (with preview) and then the software to convert to the default color profile. (this function exists in X4 but it was removed in X5)
Thank you.
