What is the trick of creating metallic looking colors, such as chrome and polished bronze. Is it a task of changing variants of shade and blending or is there a palette that includes these?
Nice samples!!
I was referring more to the reflective effect like you show, hence any image with the metallic look won't look "flat" and actually have a dimesion quality to it. As I had indicated, I had come up with a work-around to the effect I was hoping to get, because the metallic look wouldn't actually work for what I wanted. I didn't want the flat single color so I blended a small white circle with a 10% gradient of black (so really light gray then) and offset the center circle and gave it 100 steps. Just what the doctor ordered.
By the way, when I think blue, it ususally is cobalt.
Graewerld, wondering if you tried a radial fill?
Seems to be a lot quicker than going through all the steps to make a blend, no?
OOOOHHHHHH!!!!
*drools all over the keyboard*
That's exactly what I want!
can you tell me of a good way to take a Head out of a photo that the background is all onother color???
Open the image in Photopaint and use the CutOut Lab.
There is a Video Tutorial that came with the Boxed Version of CGSX4.
In photo-paint. Image > Cutout Lab
Graewerld,
The quick version..............
F11
Change the type to Radial
Move your cursor over the 'white' area in the visual and slide it anywhere you want.
Done.
Of course, there are a ton more adjustments you can make while in that dialog box, but those 2 clicks will get you what you showed in your original post without any fuss at all.
Hope that helps.
