My fully activated CorelDRAW X4 turned to trial (0 days left) after performing a windows updating (XP x86) .
Upon launching, a window pops up "No asset found for trial download (license ID: 540228824) with 0 day(s) left, source type 1, lang en and source ID 810007 " and basic features as save, export, scripts, etc are disabled
The about window presents the information correctly of my fully activated CoreDRAW, Owner, serial, version (14.0.0.701)
i'd try uninstall and reinstall but don't want to risk loosing custom settings, palettes, workspaces, macros, scripts, shortcuts etc since i never seem to be able to remember how i set all those ..... i have to edit a file that only X4 could deal with. (X5 crashes with this file) i am running out of time
Instead ot reinstall try "Repair" -- nothing will change in regards to customization.

I tried also to install Photo Paint in hopes maybe it would launch an activation window (i don't have PP installed) but the installation fails with some '1334' error about a file with a coded filename not found in a data1.cab
You could try a windows system restore, to the last restoreable date before the windows update. Or to the date when you're certain it last worked, if earlier.
If that works, then its possible the next windows update will undo it again, but in that case I would expect others to be reporting the problem.

I think you can uninstall the particular update if you know which it is.
