Corel Draw crahes under Windows 8

I had the same problem withX5 when I got win.8 I rang Corel and was told that basically everytime an os upgrades, they have to rewrite the script, sort of like changing a chassis on a car and expecting all the engine mounts and transmission to fit. If you upgrade to X7 you will be fine. I like X7, the draw pens are better, dockers for frequent tools, pages in one file. Layers. transparency and object manager is worth the money alone. Running PP along side is better. You get your moneys worth. I keep hearing about Xara warrior princess, even had a trial, but it lacks in real estate because it uses vector and bitmap layers in a single app, It got pretty confusing.
