I had CoreDraw Graphics Suite XI installed on Windows 7 and upgraded to Windows 10. I have tried various compatibility modes and the compatibility mode for Windows 7 seems my best option. The programme appears to run and work fine except for two things. I cannot see the file menu bar letters until I hover my mouse over them*. I can live with that. However, the Aquire by scanner option is greyed out. Using Control Q doesn't work either. I do a very lot of scanning directly into Draw so I would like to get that working again if possible. Has anyone figured out a registry hack or a setting somewhere that might work to get the Aquire by TWAIN option working? Your advice will be appreciated.
Kind regards
Chris
* In XP compatibility mode I can see the file menu bar letters but the work space flashes blue every time I click my mouse on it which is unacceptable.
Not sure Windows 10 supports TWAIN.
Thank you both for your replies. I have Corel Draw GS versions 14 (32 bit) and the latest version 18 (32 bit) installed on Windows 10 64 bit. CD X4 has the options select source / Aquire greyed out. So that may be more difficult to fix. I was hoping there could be a registry hack. With CD X8 I can see all the options. Select source allows me to choose either Epson WIA support (which works) or Epson TWAIN. When I select TWAIN and then use Aquire with TWAIN - CD 18 freezes and I have to force close it with task manager. PP X8 give me the same result. I hope I can get this fixed. WIA scanning is not acceptable because of the small scan window and many missing options. I do a lot of scanning so I hope I can get this fixed to speed up my workflow. I will look into Silverfast but was hoping not to have to pay for another third party scanning software. Can Silverfast 32 or 64 bit scan directly into CD X4 or CD X8 (32 bit) using the aquire command? Kind regards Chris
