Hello everybody,
a client of mine is using Corel Draw X5 to print large format funeral bills (i know, it's kinda creepy).
The picture size is 470x680 cm, landscape oriented and printed on a paper roll.
it starts with a background image in jpeg format which is the frame, and then the text and the person's picture are added.
The problem is that during the print process, a large strip of the frame is not printed at all (see Picture 1), while with a normal printer in A4 format the bill is printed correctly (Picture 2).

Additional informations:
1 - The plotter drivers and firmware are up to date
2 - With the old computer running windows XP there were no problems at all, but now the computer has been replaced with a new one runnning Win 7 64 Bits and ther printing issue started.
3 - If the bill is mistakenly printed in portrait orientation, it's printed correctly.
4 - The only way, by now, to have it printed correctly, is to export the cdr file into jpeg format and print it through Windows Picture Viewer.
Does anybody has advices to solve this issue?!?
Of course, feel free to ask for more informations or a file sample.
Thanks in advance.
Mick
Are you able to post the original CDR file? There could be a better clue there.
The other thing you could try is control-A (select all) and then bitmaps > convert to bitmap at 300 dpi. Do you see the same problem when you do that?
I looked at the files expecting to see some transparency or lens effects which might cause the problem, but neither have them. That's about as much as I can check without a larger printer.
In franco amighetti.cdr I notice d that the design on one of them is about 15% larger than the page size. This probably should not affect printing, but to be sure I'd suggest you go to layout > page size and increase it to at least 862 x 584 (or the final paper size if it is bigger) and then make sure everthing is within the design page size. However, this would not affect the second file unless you are subsequently enarging it.
