Dividing equal segments

I need to know how to divide an object like a box or a line in to equal segments.  AutoCad has "Divide", where you pick how many equal segments and then the object and it puts points or grips at equal distance spots.

  • if it's a line: select the last node of the line with the shape tool, and press the + key on your numeric keypad. That will add a node in the middle. Press again and will add two more nodes, all at the same distance. When finished, aelect all nodes (double-click over the shape tool) and choose "break" on the propierties bar

other objects has not an automatic divide, but you can do it easily, for example if it's a square and you want to divide on 9 boxes, you can use the Graph tool (just press the D key) and drag over the square. Ifit'd  circle and you want to divide on segments like a pie, ypu can use the shape tool with the Ctrl key (on tools/options/edit you can choose the ange for each step). For other objects you can use intersect, the knife tool or smart fill, for example
