Corel Draw X5 keeps crashing

hi,

I am using corel draw X5 on windows xp professional sp3, while it used to run normally, lately it started freezing for no reason, sometimes instantly sometimes after a while, sometimes it crashes never. why has it become like this and what are possible solutions.

Have you emptied the windows %temp% folder recently? A program like cCleaner is the easy way to do this, but you can do it yourself.

If you have a lot of fonts installed, it may help to reduce them below about 600.

And you still have a crash?
On start up?
Only certain files?
Which tool do you use?

When you uninstalled, did you uninstalled via 1) Control panel 2) All folders called Corel with a X5? 3) Corel Shell extension in the controlpanel?

I tried via control panel, and installed it again no result afterwards i tried repairing it from the autorun, still no luck. It keeps freezing randomly at the begining or after 5min. The task manager displays its not responding, so i have to end the process each time. Is it a bug? Im really lost, it was working perfectly fine and suddenly this started

Hello k9rl; If X5 has been working for all these years and has just started giving you problems I would look to see what has changed in your computer. And you might start with the Ram on computer start up.

i did check it, and a technician came over to check even more, and my rams are 3gb (more than before) all brand new cause we thought the problem was from them.

Did he also check for blocked vents, dust on heatsinks, noisy fans (possibly meaning they are not running at full speed) and installed a voltage/temperature monitor?
