I have a sq thats poostscrip filled basket weave I want to put a smaller sq in it with no fill, I can figure this out help please

What I would do is give the Box with the fill no out line and then create an outline around the shape by selecting your shape & holding the Shift Key double click the Rectangle tool now change the outline to the colour you want. For the centre use the smart fill tool and then change the resulting box to no fill and the colour of the outline you need.
