I guess it might be helpful nowadays.
I have a computer with a lot of RAM and a SSD drive. In order to increase the SSD-drive lifetime I created a RAMdisk to store all temporary files, TEMP and TMP system folders on it. One day after reboot I couldn't run CorelDraw - it stopped with the error message Unexpected Condition #5000 - D:/WALDO/V1400/APPS/VGCORE...
As I realized the problem was that my RAMdisk hadn't been mounted due to reasons not related with this topic and CorelDRAW couldn't create temporary files. After I solved this issue with RAMdisk - everything worked fine.
Just curious. Has anyone had any issues with SSD lifetimes?
Why Hello John; I have a Intell 335 at 180 gig and delete the temp files every morning and haven't had any problems. ( Love the extra speed.)

Hope not. I am building a new computer with a Samsung EV0 840 250GB SSD. Everything I read contridicts the older infromation and says lite expectanecy is not a porblem
Yes George, the build is still delayed until I get Uncle Sam and his share of my money figured out..
One such article.
and a Life span Test.
The current SSDs often come with 3 year warranty, the same as most consumer grade hard drives.
In three years, you will probably want to replace them with something five times the size. I just received an offer for a 960Gb SSD.
Ha... I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out... same error messages....
How do I "fix" this ram/ssd issue? I'm clueless as to where to even begin... any suggestions?
Thanks,
Matt
