Installing fresh on a new laptop. Do ALL service packs need to be installed?

Quick question: I have a new Win10 laptop and want to install CDX6. I have the installation DVD and all 7 Updates/Service Packs. Must I install all the service packs or are they cumulative (each one contains the updates from the previous ones)? If they are cumulative that would mean I only have to install the last one (time saver!).

Also, what's the best way to migrate all my CDX6 settings, templates, symbols, and UI customizations from my old machine?

Hello PJ; The Main difference ( I see ) is that X6 does NOT have font imdedding where X7 does. They both worked well in 10. If you make sure all the updates are installed you will be happy. You can try installing the last one and see if it doesn't have the others updates in it.

I remember each patch took a long time to install and was hoping to get there faster this time. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try installing the last one only. The worst that could happen is it'll toss a warning message at me.

PJ; Give it a try, some times you had to install the first update then the last one to get them all to work........

Installed just the first and last service packs/updates. Then I went back to see what would happen if I tried to install the 2nd and 3rd and I was given a message that a newer version was already installed, so I take that to mean I don't need to install all of them, that they are cumulative. Thanks for your reply SG!
