How to create the second object from the first

Hi,

Check the attached images. I need to create the second image from te frist one. I tried creating nodes at the side lines of the first object so I can drag them and modify the object. But when I create those nodes I cant create them at specific coordinates. And also, when I drag the corners nodes up and down I can choose the amount that I will drag/move the node.

I really need exact nodes positioning to make this object cause I need it to have very precise measurements.

Have you tried selecting the object you want to re create and hitting the "+" key on the keyboard? It will create an exact duplicate right on top of the original.

As mentioned in the other thread, put guidelines at the exact x and y locations, then drag the nodes with "Snap to guidelines" and "Show snap location marks" enabled.
Should be very precise.

Thanks man I just need to know how to activate "Snap to guidelines" and "Show snap location marks" cause it will certainly fix my problem :)

Hello batata004; The answer to most questions you have about CorelDRAW are in THE HELP at the top of the screen.

Unless I'm not getting something my suggestion for duplicating it would be the easiest but the "snap to" options used to be hidden in the "View" tab of options. Not sure where it is in X7.
