Multiple selection within a group

Thanks for your reply George, but we were always able "to group objects then add to it by grouping more objects to it" in CorelDrw...:-)....  I was asking if one could now make a multiple selection from within a group. For instance, if you had five items that you wanted to make red in a group of ten items, can you select those items only and make them red? In my X5, you have to remove the items from the group one by one, make them red, and then bring them back into the group. This is especially annoying if the items were named.

Does the knife tool work on eg an image file that has been scaled up or down?

I'm not sure what you are asking, There is a Free Trial that you can try before you buy. Down load the X7 and see if it will Do what you want........

I think I'll just stick with my good ole X5 until I hear that more features can be used on selected items within groups.... I know from forums that a lot of people would like that.....

More information would be required on the exact editing capabilities that you are looking for and the types of groups that you are working with, but in the basic example you provided, this is possible in X7. For example, if I have a group of three objects, I can CTRL+select one object in a group (referred to as a 'child object') then hold the SHIFT key to select a second child object in the same group and change the attributes on only the child selected objects (eg fill only those two objects with red). Similarly, effects, such as drop shadows and transparencies can also be applied to child objects selected within groups. Editing child objects across nested groups (eg two groups that are grouped together) is still not possible in X7.

The above results are with basic, single level groups, so again, it would be helpful if you could give additional examples of the editing capabilities you are looking for and the types of groups that you are working with.
