CorelDRAW X7 I need transparent background in edit bitmap

I need transparent background in edit bitmap

hi how can I get a transparent background in edit bitmap in cdr7 . in cdpaint it i have background set at transparent but I dont want to go though saving images and importing into cdr. I just want to be able to edit bitmap and have background transparent plz help driving me nutz

select bitmap then edit bitmap. When photopaint opens hit the w key(wand) select the parts you want then hit copy. Go back to cd and paste.

There is two ways I do this.
1: open the bitmap in CorelDraw. in Draw you can change it to a bitmap. you can change it to rgb, cymk, just make sure you have transparent background checked.
Then edit bitmap and ust the wand tool to remove what you don't want.

2: open the bitmap in Paint, Copy, create a new bitmap in Paint with NO background, and paste.

thanks for that. Im thinking I must of many moons ago opened up all jpegs did my thing re eraser etc then copied and pasted into base image , I must of forgoten but hey gettin old , sure apreciate help

I do something similar, but instead to copy/paste, I choose "inverse selection" on PhotoPaint, then close and save the image
